Ryncavage, Other Dignitaries Officially Launch New Police Department

WHAT: Rep. Alec Ryncavage (R-Luzerne) will join community leaders, as well as local, state and federal officials, to celebrate the grand opening of the West Side Regional Police Department (WSRPD), an historic regionalization effort unifying police services for Edwardsville and Larksville boroughs. The event will include remarks, a ribbon cutting and a guided tour of the future permanent headquarters at the former St. Anthony’s Campus.

WHEN: Thursday Jan. 29, with the first event beginning at 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: An outline of the day is as follows:

12:30-1 p.m.: Meet and greet with Chief Joseph Coffay, WSRPD board members and officers.

1-1:45 p.m.: Formal remarks.

1:45-2:15 p.m.: Ribbon cutting, with photos at temporary headquarters.

2:15-3 p.m.: Guided site walk of future permanent headquarters.
